Hungarian Goulash in Crock Pot
Description: You can serve this goulash over rice or spaetzle. Make it in your slow cooker and serve hot.
Ingredients
- Salt: 2 teaspoons
- Cubed beef roast chuck: 2 pounds
- Sweet paprika: 2 teaspoons
- Diced onion: 1 large
- Dry mustard: ½ teaspoon
- Ketchup: ½ cup
- Water: 1 ¼ cups divided
- Worcestershire sauce: 2 tablespoons
- All-purpose flour: ¼ cup
- Brown sugar: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Put meat in your slow cooker and cover it with onion.
- Take one medium bowl and mix mustard, paprika, salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup together in this bowl.
- Add 1 cup water to the mustard mixture and pour this blend over onions and beef.
- Cover slow cooker and cook for almost 9 – 10 hours to tender meat.
- Mix approximately ¼ cup water with flour to make the paste and mix into goulash.
- Now cook on high heat for nearly 10 – 15 minutes to make sauce thick.
