Irish Beer Burgers

These delicious and filling burgers are made with caramelized onions, plenty of Swiss cheese, bacon and topped off on a potato roll.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil for cooking
  • 1 pound of lean ground beef
  • Dash of salt and black pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons of Guinness blonde beer
  • 1 yellow onion sliced thinly
  • Dash of salt
  • ½ teaspoons of white sugar
  • ¼ cup of Guinness blonde beer
  • 8 to 9 slices of bacon cooked
  • 2 to 4 slices of swiss cheese

Instructions

  • In a skillet set over medium heat, add in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  • Add in the sliced onion.
  • Season with a dash of salt and white sugar.
  • Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until gold and caramelized.
  • Add in ¼ cup of the Guinness blonde beer.
  • Continue to cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
  • In a separate skillet set over medium heat, add in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  • Shape the ground beef into 4 patties.
  • Season with a dash of salt and black pepper.
  • Place into the skillet.
  • Cook for 5 to 6 minutes or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Add in 3 tablespoons of the Guinness blonde beer.
  • Continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer the patties onto hamburger buns.
  • Top off with the slices of bacon and swiss cheese.
