Irish Beer Burgers
These delicious and filling burgers are made with caramelized onions, plenty of Swiss cheese, bacon and topped off on a potato roll.
Ingredients
- Vegetable oil for cooking
- 1 pound of lean ground beef
- Dash of salt and black pepper
- 3 Tablespoons of Guinness blonde beer
- 1 yellow onion sliced thinly
- Dash of salt
- ½ teaspoons of white sugar
- ¼ cup of Guinness blonde beer
- 8 to 9 slices of bacon cooked
- 2 to 4 slices of swiss cheese
Instructions
- In a skillet set over medium heat, add in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add in the sliced onion.
- Season with a dash of salt and white sugar.
- Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until gold and caramelized.
- Add in ¼ cup of the Guinness blonde beer.
- Continue to cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
- In a separate skillet set over medium heat, add in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Shape the ground beef into 4 patties.
- Season with a dash of salt and black pepper.
- Place into the skillet.
- Cook for 5 to 6 minutes or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Add in 3 tablespoons of the Guinness blonde beer.
- Continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the patties onto hamburger buns.
- Top off with the slices of bacon and swiss cheese.
