Mozzarella Chicken with Herb Tomato Sauce

- Pyrex dish (for oven)
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts boneless
- 1 jar 24 oz Ragu spaghetti sauce (tomatoes and herbs)
- ½ green bell pepper chopped
- 1 small onion chopped
- ¼ cup sliced ham chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Dales steak sauce
- Salt pepper, and garlic powder to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread a layer of Dales steak sauce on the bottom of a Pyrex dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in the dish.
- Optionally, you can brown the chicken before placing it in the dish.
- Sprinkle the chicken with chopped onions, green peppers, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chopped ham.
- Pour the Ragu spaghetti sauce over the chicken to cover it completely.
- Cover the dish and bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes.
- After 50 minutes, remove the cover and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken.
- Return the dish to the oven and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
