Penne Pasta with Sauteed Red Peppers and Basil
Equipment
- 1 large pot for boiling pasta,
- 1 large frying pan
Ingredients
- ½ lb penne pasta
- 2 red peppers thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons fresh basil chopped
Instructions
Cook Penne:
- Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
Saute Peppers:
- In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the thinly sliced red peppers and saute until tender yet still a little crisp.
Combine Ingredients:
- Place the sauteed red peppers in a serving dish.
- Add the drained penne pasta and chopped fresh basil to the dish.
- Toss well to combine all ingredients evenly.
