Equipment

Ingredients

  • Fresh eggs

Instructions

  • Place the eggs in a saucepan and add enough water to cover them completely.
  • Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
  • Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low to maintain a gentle simmer.
  • Let the eggs simmer for 15 minutes.
  • While the eggs are simmering, prepare a bowl of cold water.
  • After 15 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and transfer the eggs immediately to the bowl of cold water using a slotted spoon.
  • Let the eggs cool in the cold water for a few minutes.
  • This will stop the cooking process and make the eggs easier to peel.
  • Once cooled, gently tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel under running water to remove the shell more easily.
  • Your perfectly cooked hard-boiled eggs are ready to be enjoyed as a snack, added to salads, or used in your favorite recipes.

Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:

Wine Pairing Advice:
Hard-boiled eggs have a mild flavor, so they pair well with a variety of wines. Consider serving them with a light-bodied white wine like Chardonnay or a crisp sparkling wine such as Prosecco. These wines will complement the simplicity of the eggs without overpowering their delicate taste.
