Polish Sausage and Cabbage Soup

Ingredients
- 2 cups potatoes – cubed and peeled
- 4 cups cabbage and carrot coleslaw mix
- 1 onion – chopped
- 2 tsp caraway seeds – crushed
- 1 lb Polish sausage – cooked
- o Halved lengthwise and cut into ½ inch slices
- 4 cups chicken broth
Instructions
Combine in crock pot in this order:
- Potatoes
- Coleslaw mix
- Onion
- Caraway seeds
- Sausage
- Broth
- Cook on low for 10-12 hours ,Or high 5-6 hours
Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:
Serves 6 | Total time: 10 hrs 15 mins

• ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
• 2 tsp celery seed
• Salt & pepper
• ½ head red cabbage – cut
o About 1 ½ inch chunks
• 2 carrots – grated
• 1 red onion – chopped Directions
1. Whisk vinegar and sugar in large bowl.
2. Slowly whisk in: 1. Oil
2. Celery seed
3. Salt and pepper
2. Toss in and let sit 1 hour:
1. Cabbage
2. Carrots
3. Red onion
4. Raisins
Variation
Homemade Red Coleslaw: Ingredients • ½cup apple cider vinegar• 2 tbsp sugar
• ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
• 2 tsp celery seed
• Salt & pepper
• ½ head red cabbage – cut
