Slow Cooker Moose Roast
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 pounds moose roast
- 2 cups apple juice
- 1 1 ounce envelope dry onion soup mix
Instructions
Step 1: Searing the Roast
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the moose roast on all sides in the hot oil.
- Remove the seared roast and transfer it to a slow cooker.
Step 2: Slow Cooking
- Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the roast.
- Pour in the apple juice.
- Cover and cook on MEDIUM for 6 to 8 hours, or until the moose meat is very tender.
- Check occasionally to ensure there is sufficient liquid, and add more apple juice if necessary.
Step 3: Serving
- Serve the moose roast with its juices.

Optionally, thicken the juices to create a tasty gravy.
