Ingredients
- 3 oranges peeled and seeds removed
- 3 lemons peeled and seeds removed
- 5 cups sour cherries
- 2 cups chopped apples
- ½ cup water
- 4 cups sugar
- ¾ cup walnuts
Instructions
- Chop oranges and lemons into pulp.
- Place in large kettle or saucepan.
- Add cherries, apples, and water.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring often.
- Continue boiling for 10 minutes, or until cherries are softened.
- Add sugar and continue boiling for 30 minutes or until thickened.
- Add nuts and boil for 5 minutes longer.
- Ladle into clean jars and process for 10 minutes in boiling-water bath.
