The Ultimate Thanksgiving Reuben Panini
Are you having thanksgiving leftovers? Put them to use as you prepare this delicacy. The cranberries make a perfect fit as it acts as a substitution for turkey for corned beef.
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp cranberry sauce
- 2 tsp freshly grated horseradish
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Kosher salt and black pepper
- 2 cups shredded green cabbage
- 8 slices rye bread
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- ¾ lb. thinly sliced carved turkey
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Using a whisk, mix the mayonnaise, cranberry, horseradish, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
- Add salt and pepper, then add the cabbage.
- Mix well to ensure the cabbage gets to coat.
- Place the cheese, turkey, slaw, turkey layer, and cheese once again on a bread slice.
- Cover the ingredients with the remaining slices of bread.
- Apply butter to the top and bottom of the sandwich.
- On medium heat, cook the sandwich for 7 minutes as you flip them halfway.
- Ensure the bread is well toasted and the cheese gets to melt.
- Serve and enjoy.
