Thousand Island Dressing from Bev Bennett
Use Thousand Island dressing with iceberg lettuce or as a change from plain mayonnaise on a sandwich. Leftover dressing will keep if covered in the refrigerator for a few days.
Ingredients
- 1 cup commercially prepared mayonnaise
- ¼ cup bottled chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Place the mayonnaise in a small bowl.
- Stir in the chili sauce, pickle relish, chives, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Vary It!
- Add a dash of hot red pepper sauce to give the dressing a little zing.
