  • ½ teaspoon black pepper preferably freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 chicken breasts cut into thirds
  • 6 small-sized dinner rolls

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the flour, garlic salt, black pepper, celery seeds, mustard seeds, and dried basil.
  • In a separate shallow bowl, beat the egg until frothy.
  • Dredge each piece of chicken through the flour mixture, then dip into the beaten egg, and roll again in the flour mixture to coat evenly.
  • Spritz the chicken pieces with cooking spray on all sides and transfer them to the air fryer basket.
  • Cook in the preheated Air Fryer at 380°F for 15 minutes.
  • Turn the chicken pieces over and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  • Check for doneness and adjust the seasoning as desired.
