Flat Bread Loaf
Ingredients
- 1 recipe recipe dough for Aranda Bread Tortes
- Cornmeal or all-purpose flour for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the dough according to steps 1 and 2 of the Aranda Bread Tortes recipe.
- Allow it to rise as instructed.
- Place an oven rack in the upper-middle position and preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Put a pan of water on the floor of the oven.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down.
- Divide it into two equal parts and roll each piece into a 16 x 4½-inch rectangle.
- Create slits on the top surface and dust with flour.
- Sprinkle two cookie sheets with cornmeal or all-purpose flour and place one loaf on each sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove the water pan from the oven and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until the loaves are lightly browned.
