Roasted Jalapeno Guacamole
Add some smokiness to spicy guacamole by pre-roasting your jalapenos. You can also add a drop or two of liquid smoke to kick up the flavor.

Serves: 4
- 1 to 2 jalapeno pepper or to taste cored and finely chopped ½ tsp olive oil
- 3 ripe avocados pitted and peeled
- ½ medium white onion finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves pressed
- 1 Roma tomato finely diced
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- ⅓ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- ¼ tsp ground cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructies
- Rub jalapeno peppers with olive oil and roast in a broiler for 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly charred.
- Finely chop after.
- Mash avocados in a bowl using a potato masher or fork to your desired consistency.
- Add remaining ingredients including jalapenos and fold in well.
- Serve guacamole.
