Ingrediënten

  • 8 cups chopped peeled tomatoes
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped green peppers
  • 8 jalapeño peppers chopped*
  • 3 cloves garlic peeled and minced
  • 1 6-ounce can tomato paste
  • ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ –½ cup finely chopped cilantro
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

Instructies

  • Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, or until thickened.
  • Ladle hot salsa into clean jars.
  • Process for 20 minutes in boiling-water bath.

Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:

*Wear rubber gloves when chopping hot peppers to avoid skin irritation.
