Mango SalsaMangos appear as one of the more modern salsas, and aren't we lucky that this versatile delectable fruit is available almost everywhere! Choose ripe mangos with yellow skin and a blush of pink to red with no soft or bruised spots. The fruit should feel firm, but not hard, when held in the palm. Mango salsa is especially good with roasted, grilled, or fried poultry, fish, or pork
Ingrediënten
Makes about 2 cups
- 2 large mangos peeled and cut into 1⁄2-inch dice
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped white onion
- 2 tablespoons red bell pepper finely diced
- 2 serrano chiles minced with seeds
- 1 ⁄4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh mint
- 1 ⁄2 teaspoon salt or to taste
Instructies
- Put all of the ingredients into a medium bowl and toss gently to mix.
- Refrigerate and serve cold or serve at room temperature within 4 hours for the best texture and flavor.
