Savory Beef and Vegetable Chili
Ingrediënten
- Olive oil
- 1 pound ground round beef
- 1 cup diced green pepper
- ½ cup diced celery
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 large clove garlic minced
- ½ cup extra-large black olives chopped
- 1 can 15 ounces kidney beans
- 1 can 11 ounces stewed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 chili pepper minced
- 2 tablespoons oregano vinegar
- 1 cup water
Instructies
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add ground round beef and sauté until browned.
- Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté diced green pepper, diced celery, onion, and minced garlic until tender.
- Add the browned beef back to the pot along with chopped black olives, kidney beans, stewed tomatoes, brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, minced chili pepper, and oregano vinegar.
- Let the mixture simmer for approximately 15 minutes.
- Then, add 1 cup of water and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.
- Adjust the amount of water according to your preferred consistency.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
