Classic Buttery Shortbread
A rich and buttery traditional Scottish shortbread with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Perfect with a cup of tea or as an elegant treat.

Ingredients
- 120 g butter
- 50 g caster sugar
- 50 g cornflour
- 120 g plain flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 140°C.
- In a mixing bowl, rub together the butter, caster sugar, cornflour, and plain flour until the mixture forms a soft dough.
- Roll out the dough to about 1 cm thick.
- Cut into large circles using a cookie cutter or shape as desired.
- Place the shortbread on a baking tray and bake for 30 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
