Spareribs and Sauerkraut
Ingrediënten
- 3 lbs. spareribs
- salt and pepper
- water
- 1 quart sauerkraut
- ¼ cup onion diced (optional)
- 1 apple peeled and sliced thin (optional)
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar optional
Instructies
- Season the meat, then brown slowly in a heavy skillet.
- Add water to a depth of ½–1 inch.
- Cover and cook slowly one hour.
- Spread sauerkraut over pork.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar, and onion and apple if desired.
- Cover and cook slowly one more hour.
