Ingrediënten

Peanut Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 bunch green onions finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ cup chicken stock
  • ½ cup crunchy peanut butter
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • 3 tablespoons mango chutney

Kebabs:

  • 1 pound sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil

Instructies

Peanut Sauce:

  • Heat peanut oil in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Sauté green onions, garlic, and chili powder until onions are translucent.
  • Add chicken stock, peanut butter, apple juice, and mango chutney.
  • Simmer for 2 minutes or until thick.
  • Set aside.

Kebabs:

  • Thread the sirloin steak onto skewers and place them in a shallow glass baking dish.
  • In a bowl, combine chopped onion, turmeric, cumin, lemon juice, grated fresh ginger, soy sauce, and peanut oil.
  • Pour the marinade over the kebabs.
