Sweet and Spicy Chicken Bites
Serve this sweet and spicy dish as is, over cauliflower rice or in lettuce wraps. In addition, you can serve it up in takeout boxes purchased online or in most craft stores — just don’t forget the chopsticks to round out the experience

- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon water
- 3 tablespoons arrowroot flour
- 450 grams boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 3cm cubes
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
- 3 cloves garlic peeled and minced
- 2 teaspoons peeled and grated fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons chilli garlic sauce
- 2 teaspoons erythritol sweetener
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
- 1 spring onion thinly sliced at a diagonal
Instructies
- Preheat air fryer at 200°C for 3 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together egg, water and arrowroot flour.
- Add chicken pieces and toss until fully coated.
- In a large bowl, whisk together sesame oil, apple cider vinegar, coconut aminos, garlic, ginger, chilli garlic sauce, erythritol, salt and pepper.
- Set aside.
- Add chicken to air fryer basket lightly greased with olive oil and cook for 15 minutes, flipping chicken every 5 minutes.
- Transfer cooked chicken to bowl with marinade and gently toss to coat.
- Transfer to a large serving plate, garnish with green onion, and serve.
