Sweet Potato Burgers with Garlic Cream
These burgers are another type of sweet potato burger that you can enjoy any night of the week. It is so delicious, I guarantee you will want to make these burgers every day of the week.
Ingrediënten
- 2 cups of sweet potatoes mashed
- 2 bulbs of roasted garlic
- 1 cup of cannellini beans
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- ⅓ cup of panko breadcrumbs
- ⅓ cup of oat flour
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 ½ teaspoons of smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- Dash of black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoons of powdered cumin
- 2 to 3 Tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 avocado thinly sliced
- ⅔ cup of plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon of maple syrup
- Dash of salt and black pepper
Instructies
- Pierce the sweet potatoes with a fork.
- Wrap in a sheet of paper towels.
- Place not the microwave to cook for 5 minutes.
- Turn and continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove and set aside to cool.
- Slice in half and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Mash until smooth in consistency.
- In the bowl, add in the cannellini beans.
- Stir well to mix.
- Add in the dash of salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, powdered cumin, panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg and oat flour.
- Stir well until mixed.
- Transfer the bowl into the fridge to chill for 15 to 20 minutes.
- In a food processor, add in the yogurt, maple syrup, dash of salt and black pepper.
- Pulse on the highest setting until smooth in consistency.
- Set aside.
- In a skillet set over medium heat, add in 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Shape the sweet potato mix into 4 patties.
- Place into the skillet.
- Cook for 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until golden.
- Transfer onto hamburger buns.
- Drizzle the garlic cream over the top and serve immediately.
