T-Bone with Garlic Rosemary Compound Butter
Compound butter is a just a fancy way to say butter with add-ins. If you’ve never experienced this little delicacy, start adding it to your steaks. It is so easy to make and lends so much flavour to your meal. You’ll never go back!
Ingrediënten
- 1 ½ tablespoons butter softened
- ¼ teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic peeled and minced
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
- 1 570 gram, 7cm-thick
- T-bone steak fat trimmed, leaving a 6mm ribbon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 ½ tablespoons water
Instructies
- Combine butter, lemon juice, garlic and rosemary in a small bowl.
- Transfer butter onto baking paper or plastic wrap.
- Roll into a log, spinning ends to tighten.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours up to overnight.
- Remove T-bone from refrigerator for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat air fryer at 200°F for 3 minutes.
- Add 2 tablespoons water to air fryer.
- Place steak in air fryer basket lightly greased with olive oil.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Flip steak and cook for an additional 5 minutes until a meat thermometer ensures an internal temperature of at least 63°C, or until cooked to your liking.
- Transfer steak to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice butter and add to top of steak.
- Let melt over meat.
- Serve warm.

Pretty Compound Butter Moulds
If you are wanting to display your butter in a better way than rolling it up in plastic wrap and forming a log, actual butter moulds can be purchased online. Alternatively, you can use silicone chocolate moulds that come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and can be used for different celebrations!
