Tequila and Grapefruit Cooler

Tequila and Grapefruit Cooler

Paloma
Paloma is a popular drink in Guadalajara and the surrounding area, known for the distilling of tequila from blue agave. My husband and I, and friends we traveled with, tasted our first Paloma at Herradura's tequila distillery in Amatitan, a village near the town of Tequila. This simple tequila and grapefruit drink is popular in Jalisco and along the Pacific Coast. We were very fortunate to be invited to the historical and highly esteemed distillery for a private tour, tequila tasting, and lunch. We enjoyed our comida outdoors in a beautiful courtyard, and sipped this refreshing drink.
