Texas Rib Eye Steak
The rib eye is a rugged cut of meat that takes on the barbecue sauce in this recipe like a boss. Savoury, spicy and salty, this dish is perfect served with a refreshing coleslaw or creamy cauliflower mash.

- ¾ tablespoon water
- ¼ cup reduced sugar barbecue sauce
- 1 clove garlic peeled and minced
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 340 gram, 3cm-thick rib eye steak
Instructies
- Preheat air fryer at 200°C for 3 minutes.
- Pour water in bottom of air fryer to ensure minimum smoke from fat drippings.
- Combine barbecue sauce, garlic and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
- Divide in half.
- Slather steak with half of sauce.
- Place steak in air fryer basket lightly greased with olive oil.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Flip steak.
- Brush with remaining sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until cooked to your liking.
- Transfer steak to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
