Vegan crushed tomato and “parmesan” pizza

Ingrediënten

  • 1 tablespoon walnut halves
  • teaspoons nutritional yeast
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 ounces store-bought pizza dough
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 canned whole peeled tomatoes crushed by hand and drained
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon thinly sliced fresh flat-leaf parsley

Instructies

  • Set a Microplane grater over a small bowl and grate the walnuts into the bowl.
  • Stir in the nutritional yeast and garlic powder.
  • Roll and stretch the pizza dough into a 6-inch round.
  • Lay the dough round in the air fryer, then brush with 1 teaspoon of the olive oil.
  • Arrange the crushed tomatoes over the dough and sprinkle with the walnut “parmesan” mixture.
  • Season with salt and pepper, drizzle with the remaining 1 teaspoon olive oil, and cook at 350°F until the dough is cooked through, the tomatoes are dried out, and the “parmesan” is browned, about 8 minutes.
  • Transfer the pizza to a plate, sprinkle with the parsley, and serve hot.
