Warm-and-Spicy Salsa

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 2 celery ribs diced
  • 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 3 10-ounce cans diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained
  • 1 15-ounce can crushed tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructies

  • Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat; add tomatoes and green chiles and next 5 ingredients.
  • Return to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in cilantro.

Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:

Serve warm with tortilla chips.
