Zesty Lemon Chicken Grill
Ingrediënten
- 3 lbs. chicken pieces
- ½ cup teriyaki marinade & sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh lemon peel
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructies
- Place the chicken pieces in a large resealable plastic food storage bag.
- In a small bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, grated lemon peel, lemon juice, and black pepper.
- Pour this marinade over the chicken in the plastic bag.
- Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight, turning the bag occasionally to ensure even marination.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
- Place the chicken pieces on the grill, about 5 to 6 inches from the coals.
- Grill the chicken for 20 to 25 minutes on each side, or until it is no longer pink near the bones, turning the pieces over frequently.
- During the last 20 minutes of cooking time, brush the chicken lightly with fresh teriyaki marinade.
- Once the chicken is cooked through and has a nicely grilled exterior, remove it from the grill and serve hot.
Notes / Tips / Wine Advice:
You can also bake the marinated chicken pieces in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 40 to 45 minutes if a grill is not available.
