Zesty Turkey and Black Bean Chili
Ingrediënten
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 bell pepper diced
- 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings:
- chopped cilantro diced avocado, shredded cheese, sour cream
Instructies
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to the pot.
- Cook for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are softened.
- Stir in black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the chili to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings if desired.
