Ingrediënten

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings:
  • chopped cilantro diced avocado, shredded cheese, sour cream

Instructies

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to the pot.
  • Cook for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are softened.
  • Stir in black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the chili to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings if desired.
