Ingrediënten

  • 3 Apples peeled, cored, and chopped
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • ½ cup White vinegar
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • ¼ cup Raisins
  • 1 tsp Ground ginger
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp Ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • ½ cup Water

Instructies

  • Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook for 5 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in the chopped apples, raisins, ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Add the brown sugar, vinegar, and water.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and cook for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chutney thickens and the apples soften.
  • Once cooked, remove from heat and allow the chutney to cool.
  • Store in sterilized jars and refrigerate.
  • The chutney will last for up to 2 weeks.
