Baked Corn
Corn, fresh or canned, can be made into a pleasing custard. Eggs and milk are still plentiful on most Amish homesteads.
Ingrediënten
- 2 cups corn
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar optional
- ½ tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
- ½ cup bread or cracker crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Instructies
- Cook the corn.
- Beat the eggs and milk.
- Combine corn, eggs and milk, seasonings and 2 Tbsp.
- butter or margarine.
- Mix well.
- Pour into greased 1½-quart baking dish.
- Mix crumbs and butter and sprinkle over corn.
- Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until mixture is set.
