Ingredients
- 1 cup 200 g granulated sugar
- ½ cup 120 ml balsamic vinegar
- 1 pound 455 g whole fresh strawberries
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the sugar and balsamic vinegar to a boil over medium heat.
- Boil for 3 minutes to ensure the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Remove from the heat and let cool for about 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C, or gas mark 4).
- Line the bottom of an 8-inch (20-cm) square baking dish with a single layer of whole strawberries.
- Pour the balsamic syrup evenly over the strawberries.
- Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
- Let cool before serving.
