Equipment

  • Blender (immersion or countertop)
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 small ripe banana fresh or frozen, sliced
  • ¼ cup 20 g quick-cooking oats
  • 1 tablespoon 16 g creamy natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup 235 ml soy or other nondairy milk
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon 5 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons 21 to 42 g agave nectar or (15 to 30 ml) pure maple syrup, to taste

Instructions

  • Slice the banana and add it to your blender.
  • Add quick-cooking oats, peanut butter, and soy or other nondairy milk.
  • Pour in the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and your choice of sweetener.
  • Blend all ingredients until perfectly smooth.
  • Serve immediately in a glass or on-the-go cup.
