Banana Oat Energy Smoothie

Ingredients
- 1 small ripe banana fresh or frozen, sliced
- ¼ cup 20 g quick-cooking oats
- 1 tablespoon 16 g creamy natural peanut butter
- 1 cup 235 ml soy or other nondairy milk
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon 5 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 to 2 tablespoons 21 to 42 g agave nectar or (15 to 30 ml) pure maple syrup, to taste
Instructions
- Slice the banana and add it to your blender.
- Add quick-cooking oats, peanut butter, and soy or other nondairy milk.
- Pour in the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and your choice of sweetener.
- Blend all ingredients until perfectly smooth.
- Serve immediately in a glass or on-the-go cup.
