  • ½ cup Minced Spanish Onion
  • 2 tablespoons Minced Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Allspice
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 2 tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 ⅛ cups Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Molasses
  • 1 ¾ cups Water
  • 6 tablespoons Bourbon

Instructies

  • Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the minced onion and garlic and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the ground allspice, ground ginger, dry mustard, ground coriander, ground cumin, and light brown sugar.
  • Mix well.
  • Stir in the soy sauce, Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and red wine vinegar.
  • Add the tomato paste and stir to break it up and incorporate it into the mixture, then stir in the molasses.
  • Slowly add the water to make a smooth sauce, then add the bourbon.
  • Simmer the sauce for 30 minutes.
  • Cool the sauce and store it in the refrigerator in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
