Add the tomato paste and stir to break it up and incorporate it into the mixture, then stir in the molasses.
Slowly add the water to make a smooth sauce, then add the bourbon.
Simmer the sauce for 30 minutes.
Cool the sauce and store it in the refrigerator in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
