Classic Cheese Calzone

Ingrediënten
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp sugar
- ½ tsp dry yeast
- 120 ml warm water
- 100 g ricotta cheese
- 100 g mozzarella cheese shredded
- 50 g Parmesan cheese grated
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
- 100 ml tomato sauce
Instructies
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar.
- Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and knead into a smooth dough.
- Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, oregano, and garlic powder.
- Roll out the dough into a circle and spread the cheese mixture on one half, leaving the edges clear.
- Fold the dough over, sealing the edges by pressing with a fork.
- Brush the top with beaten egg and transfer to a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce on the side.
