Cheesy Summer Squash Casserole

  • Small summer yellow squash 2 sliced
  • Onion ¼ cup chopped
  • Divided salt ½ teaspoon
  • Egg 1 large
  • Mayonnaise ¼ cup
  • Sugar 2 teaspoon
  • Pepper for taste
  • Shedder shredded cheese ¼ cup
  • Cornflakes 2 tablespoons crushed
  • Melted butter 1-1/2 teaspoon

Instructies

  • Take a small saucepan, add and combine the onion, salt of ¼ teaspoon, and squash.
  • Cover it with water.
  • Let it boil, reduce the heat and uncovered and simmer it until the squash gets tender and crisp for 2 minutes, then drain.
  • Take a small bowl, whisk egg, pepper, sugar, mayonnaise, and the rest of the salt mix until it gets blended.
  • Stir it in cheese and the mixture of squash.
  • Convert it into the greased 2-cup baking dish.
  • Toss it with butter and cornflakes.
  • Sprinkle it on the top.
  • Uncovered and bake it at 350°F until it gets golden brown and gets bubbly for just 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Serve it and enjoy.
