Classic Sugar Cookie Cutouts
Ingrediënten
- ⅔ cup softened butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

Baking Time: 7 minutes per batch at 375°F
Instructies
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with a mixer on medium to high speed for about 30 seconds.
- Add the granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Continue beating until well combined, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Gradually beat in as much of the all-purpose flour as you can with the mixer.
- Stir in any remaining flour by hand.
- Divide the dough in half, cover it, and chill for about 30 minutes or until the dough is easy to handle.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a floured surface, roll out one portion of the dough at a time until it’s between 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
- Use your favorite cookie cutters to cut out the dough into desired shapes.
- Place the cutouts approximately 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until the edges are firm and the bottoms are a very light brown.
- Transfer the baked cookies to wire racks and let them cool completely.
