Makes 35 to 40 servings / Prep: 1 hr., Soak: 24 hrs., Bake: 4 hrs.
Place ham in a large container.
Cover with water, and soak 24 hours.
Drain.
Scrub ham 3 to 4 times in cold water with a stiff brush, and rinse well.
Place ham, fat side up, in a large roasting pan.
Pour vinegar over ham; sprinkle with cloves.
Cover with lid or aluminum foil.
Bake, covered, at 325° for 4 hours or until a meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion registers 140°.
Remove from oven, and cool slightly.
Slice ham across the grain into thin slices, and serve with hot biscuits.
