Crab Rangoon Melt
Ingrediënten
- 1 can 6 oz. crab meat, drained
- 4 tablespoons Thai sweet chili sauce
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- 8 oz. sliced medium Cheddar cheese optional
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 2 sheets full-size wonton wrappers cut into quarters
- Cooking oil
- Butter or butter spread
Instructies
- In a bowl, stir together the drained crab meat, cream cheese, and Thai sweet chili sauce until well combined.
- Slice the wonton wrappers into quarters.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add cooking oil and lightly fry the wonton quarters until crisp.
- Flip them as soon as the edges start to curl, and then again about 2-3 minutes later to ensure they stay flat.
- Remove the fried wontons from the skillet and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- If using Cheddar cheese, add 1/8 of sliced cheese to each of four slices of bread.
- Evenly divide the crab mixture on top of the cheese.
- Place two fried wontons on top of the crab mixture on each slice of bread.
- Top each with the remaining cheese slices and another slice of bread.
- Cook the sandwiches at 325°F for four minutes on each side, using a melting dome if available.
- Serve hot and enjoy the delicious fusion of flavors!
