Dave’s Classic Comfort Meatloaf

  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs or gluten-free/low-carb alternative
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup ketchup divided
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 lbs ground beef

Instructies

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine milk and breadcrumbs.
  • Add egg, 1/4 cup ketchup, onion, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix well.
  • Add ground beef and mix gently with your hands until just combined.
  • Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a loaf pan.
  • Spread remaining 1/4 cup ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake for 60 minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
