Farmhouse Ohio Chili Bowl
Ingrediënten
- 3 cans 10.75 ounces each tomato soup
- 4 cans water use the tomato soup cans for measuring
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 pound hot sausage
- 1 large onion minced
- 3 cans 15 ounces each kidney or chili beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 3 bay leaves
- 3 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Mashed potatoes for serving
Instructies
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef and hot sausage over medium heat.
- Drain off excess grease.
- Add minced onion to the pot and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in tomato soup, water, kidney or chili beans, ground cumin, bay leaves, Tabasco sauce, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove bay leaves before serving.
- To serve, ladle the chili over a scoop of mashed potatoes in each bowl.
