Instructies
In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef and hot sausage over medium heat.
Drain off excess grease.
Add minced onion to the pot and sauté until translucent.
Stir in tomato soup, water, kidney or chili beans, ground cumin, bay leaves, Tabasco sauce, and salt.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove bay leaves before serving.
To serve, ladle the chili over a scoop of mashed potatoes in each bowl.
