Giant Italian Meatballs
What are better than meatballs? Giant meatballs! The ricotta and Parmesan cheeses lend a creaminess to the dish, while using beef and pork rounds out the flavour profile. And serving it in some napolitana sauce… now that’s Italian!
Ingrediënten
- 230 grams lean beef mince
- 230 grams pork mince
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 ½ tablespoons no-sugar-added tomato paste
- ¼ cup ricotta cheese
- ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic peeled and minced
- ¼ cup peeled and grated brown onion
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ cup almond flour
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups no-sugar-added napolitana sauce
Instructies
- Combine all ingredients except for napolitana sauce in a large bowl.
- Form mixture into four meatballs.
- Preheat air fryer at 200°C for 3 minutes.
- Cut a piece of baking paper to fit bottom of air fryer basket.
- Place meatballs on paper.
- Cook for 20 minutes.
- In a medium frying pan, heat sauce over medium heat for 3 minutes.
- Add cooked meatballs and roll them around in sauce for 2 minutes.
- Transfer meatballs to a large plate and serve warm with sauce over the top.
