Ham Soup

Ham Soup is hearty. It was particularly well suited to wintertime eating when meat hung heavily in the attic and the vegetable supply was dwindling.

Ingrediënten

  • 3 lb. ham
  • 1 large onion minced
  • 5 cups potatoes peeled and cubed
  • large handful of noodles
  • 3 quarts milk

Instructies

  • Cook ham in water until soft.
  • Cut up and set aside.
  • Cook potatoes and onions in ham broth until tender.
  • Meanwhile, cook noodles and drain.
  • Add ham and noodles to potatoes.
  • Add milk and bring to the boiling point.
  • Serve with crackers.
