Horseradish Sauce For Smoked Trout
Makes About 1 Cup Dip, Enough For 6 To 8 Servings With FishYou can serve the smoked trout hot or at room temperature; it’s delicious either way. I like it with this horseradish sauce on the side. You can make the sauce a day in advance.
Ingrediënten
- ⅔ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 2 tablespoons vodka plain or lemon-flavored (optional)
- 4 tablespoons freshly grated or prepared horseradish if using bottled, drain it well
- Kosher salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 4 sprigs fresh dill for garnish (optional)
Instructies
- In a medium bowl using a whisk, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the chopped dill, vodka, and horseradish.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Garnish with the dill sprigs, if you like.
