Italian Turkey Meatballs

This simple recipe has the health benefits of turkey, but the Italian flavor of a classic ground beef meatball. Eat this dish by itself or with a side salad for easy healthy eating.

Ingrediënten

  • 1 pound of lean ground turkey
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • ¼ cup of onion finely chopped
  • ¼ cup of parsley finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of oregano
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ½ cup of dry breadcrumbs

Instructies

  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a large mixing bowls.
  • Use your hands, and make sure the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Spray a nonstick skillet lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook the meatballs in batches for 5 or 6 minutes, or until cooked thoroughly.
  • The meatballs should be browned on the outside.
  • Serve and enjoy!
