Ingrediënten

  • 1 mango finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 habanero chile seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 tsp. lime zest from 2 limes
  • 2 tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 tbsp. Jamaican jerk seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic grated
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 6 burger buns
  • Red onion thinly sliced (for topping)
  • Romaine lettuce shredded (for topping)

Instructies

  • In a bowl, combine the finely chopped mango, red bell pepper, habanero chile, lime zest, and lime juice.
  • Season the mixture to create a flavorful mango relish.
  • In another bowl, mix the ground beef with Jamaican jerk seasoning and grated garlic.
  • Season the mixture well.
  • Form the seasoned beef into 6 patties.
  • Grill the patties over medium-high heat to your desired doneness, approximately 3 minutes per side for a medium level of doneness.
  • While the patties are grilling, spread mayonnaise on the burger buns.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing the grilled patties on the buns.
  • Top with the prepared mango relish, thinly sliced red onion, and shredded romaine lettuce.
  • Serve the Mango Jerk Beef Burgers immediately.
