Peppered Rib-eye Steaks

A robust herb rub cloaks these steaks before grilling. The rub tastes great on pork and lamb, too.

Prep: 15 min., Chill: 1 hr., Grill: 20 min.

  • teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • teaspoons salt
  • teaspoons garlic powder
  • teaspoons lemon pepper
  • teaspoons ground red pepper
  • teaspoons dried parsley flakes
  • 6 1½-inch-thick rib-eye steaks
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructies

  • Combine first 7 ingredients.
  • Brush steaks with olive oil; rub with pepper mixture.
  • Cover and chill 1 hour.
  • Grill, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350° to 400°) 8 to 10 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness.
