Air Fryer Chinese Sweet and Sour Pork Chunks

Ingredients
- 2 pounds pork cut into chunks
- 2 large eggs
- 8 fluid ounces potato starch or cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/16 teaspoon Chinese five-spice
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- Sesame oil for egg mixture
- Simple sweet and sour sauce
Instructions
- In one mixing bowl, combine the potato starch, salt, pepper, and Chinese five-spice.
- In another mixing bowl, beat the eggs and add a splash of sesame oil.
- Dredge the pork pieces in the potato starch mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Then dip each piece into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, and coat them again in the potato starch mixture.
- Coat the air fryer basket with oil using an oil mister.
- Place the pork pieces in the basket and spray them lightly with oil.
- Cook in the air fryer at 340°F (170°C) for approximately 8 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket a couple of times during cooking to ensure even cooking.
- Serve hot with the simple sweet and sour sauce.
