Apples, pears, and granola are a wonderful combination in this
casserole. It’s a little like hot cereal, but with more texture

- 1 apple peeled and chopped
- 1 pear peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cups granola
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 4-ounce jar puréed pears
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
Instructions
- Place apples and pears in bottom of a 2-quart slow cooker.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice. Top with granola and walnuts.
- In medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Pour into slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 7–9 hours or until apples and pears are tender.
- Serve with cold honey and heavy cream, if desired.
